Système D.

I draw beautiful, informative maps, specialising in cycling, canals and railways.

These maps have been used by Metro, the Independent on Sunday, British Waterways, Tempus Publishing, West Oxfordshire District Council, the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, several magazine companies, and groups such as the Cotswold Canals Trust and the Cambridge & St Ives Railway Organisation. The 'Underground London' map was recently praised in Sir Terry Farrell's book Shaping London.

I use open or low-cost data sources, such as Ordnance Survey Open Data, historic maps, and OpenStreetMap; add on-the-ground research; and then hand-craft the finished product in Adobe Illustrator. These are not generic webmaps or GIS dumps - far from it. These are custom, one-off maps to the highest cartographic quality.

I'm also one of the main developers for OpenStreetMap's map editing software, Potlatch 2.
