Of wikis and licences

Over on the OpenStreetMap lists we are perpetually blathering on about licences, and I am, I'm afraid, a serial offender.

But I prefer the attitude on my other favourite wiki, ukcider - an online pub and producer guide which is already significantly bigger and better than the printed CAMRA book. Here, the word 'licence' is invariably prefixed with "off". Not so much "free as in beer", more "free as in cider"...
