As a followup to the previous posting, and the mention of Philip Tann's People's Map, here's an excerpt from today's Openstreetmap GPS uploads:



though I think it's Newcastle, not Nottingham (hey, it's all north of Watford, right?). Very cool. This is one of the milestones from the first day of the Month of OSM - more at SteveC's opengeodata blog.

The other Steve C posted that the Getmapping links didn't work. Sorry. Here are some others - 1, 2 - which might.

Thanks for revised Getmapping links - which I noted the other day and have browsed. Have you seen this Getmapping "VFR Photographic Scenery" stuff (via their website or Mapperz blog or Google it)? What price Ed Parsons re-emerging in New Year as consultant to Getmapping, and being lead in a launch of the People's Map?
